Oh, this stone. If you know Golden Hill turquoise, you already know why I couldn’t leave this one behind.Golden Hill has become one of my absolute favorite turquoises to collect. It comes from Kazakhstan and is known for that unmistakable clear, icy sky-blue color with contrasting brown/lavender-toned matrix. There’s something about it that looks completely different from the classic Southwestern turquoise we see all the time.And this is a BIG, beautiful piece of it.The rectangular stone measures approximately 1.4 inches long, and I love that they didn’t overcomplicate the setting. The turquoise is very much the star, surrounded by old-school stamped sterling details and little silver drops. Even the adjustable band has hand-stamped detailing.The entire face measures approximately 1.6 inches tall, so this is definitely a statement ring.
