Exquisite Antique Late Georgian / Early Victorian 14k Gold Mourning BroochAn exceptional piece of mid-19th-century sentimental history. This oval mourning brooch features an incredibly rare, pristine two-tone braided human hair display protected under a beveled crystal glass cover. The central memento is framed by an elegant halo of natural seed pearls.Key Features & Collector Notes:Material: 14k Yellow Gold (tested/verified)Total Weight: 8.78 grams (substantial gold weight for this era)Dimensions: Approx. 1.25" x 1"Era/Hardware:Circa 1830s-1850s.Features the highly sought-after authentic early extended pin stem and traditional "C-clasp" mechanism in excellent working order.Hairwork: Intricate, two-tone blonde and brunette basketweave braiding, completely intact with no loose strands or shifting.Condition Report:Offered in beautiful, honest antique condition. To preserve its historical integrity, this piece remains uncleaned with its original, rich age patina and minor verdigris on the reverse.
