Here's a specialized collection of Gold Bond Stamp ephemera centered on the "Gold Country USA" program. Unlike the consumer-oriented S&H Green Stamps, this 1970's and 1980's series focused on the truck stop market and professional long-haul drivers.The two primary catalogs (both dated 1981) serve as a visual archive of early `80's consumer culture. The internal pages feature high-resolution lifestyle photography of era-specific technology and household goods, including Omega and Seiko watches, 40-channel CBThis lot included all of the following: Gold Country USA Catalog: 90 full-color pages promote "gifts for professional drivers and their families" —running the gamut from cookware and cameras to tractors, furniture, an Atari computer, and watches. Has heavy cover and upscale feel.Gold Bond Catalog: Also around 90 pages, this full-color "selection of exciting merchandise" caters to a general consumer audience with practical home goods, electronics, luggage, sports gear, and tools.18 Gold Bond Stamp Savers Books: All books are in unused, empty condition with the "Gold Country" trucker branding.7 Mini-Books: These smaller format redemption booklets featuring truck-stop-specific graphics and meal offers.1 "Welcome to Gold Country USA" Brochure: Illustrated promotional piece featuring cab-over semi-trucks. Inside header "Gold is Better Than Green or Any Other Color" takes direct swipe at S&H Green Stamps and competitors. Back promotes a "Truck Stop" sweepstakes. Condition: The catalogs shows cover wear, including scuffs, creases, and curled corners. Insides show minor browning and wear, though no tears, stains, water damage, or smells. The brochure does have several tears along the bottom including a missing spot. The catalogs are well preserved, with minor handling wear and browning, though no stains or serious issues.
