Rare piece of University of Georgia football history — hand signed by Coach Mark Richt! The special-edition 2007 Wheaties box was released to honor Coach Richt who led the Bulldogs to an impressive 11-2 record, a resounding Sugar Bowl victory over Hawaii, and a final #2 ranking in the AP Poll.Coach Richt used a black marker (or Sharpie) to sign the rallying cry 'Go DAWGS!' just above his autograph. (An additional word or name below is difficult to make out.) No 3rd party verification, though I obtained this directly from the original owner who got the box signed. (This signature matches others by Coach Richt, though do your OWN research to verify.)Condition: This Wheaties box is empty and was opened at one end (it is NOT flattened). It's in fair overall condition, with some noticeable wear on the back, top, and side panels, including an inch tear along one edge). Shows significant creasing on the nutrition panel. While the box front shows some tears toward the top, the section with the photo and autograph are in excellent, display-worthy condition.Inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2023, Richt's legacy is defined by his tremendous leadership and winning record, making this autographed collectible a must-have for any die-hard NCAA football fan or the perfect gift for a UGA student or alumnus / alumna.Shipping: Items carefully packed to survive the mail. Shipping upgraded and insurance provided as feasible. Certain locations (such as HI or AK) or P.O. boxes may incur additional cost.Free Local Pick-up and/or delivery available in suburbs of northern Atlanta, Georgia (Canton, Ball Ground, Woodstock, Kennesaw, etc.).
