**Item Specifics:*** **Year:** 1923* **Mint Mark:** None (Philadelphia Mint)* **Denomination:** One Cent (1¢)* **Material:** 95% Copper, 5% Tin/Zinc* **Variety:** Detached Lamination / Defective Planchet Error* **Grade/Condition:** Circulated - Very Fine (VF)---**Item Description:**Up for sale is an authentic, century-old 1923 Lincoln Wheat Cent featuring a prominent obverse mint error. **Error Diagnostics:**The obverse displays a genuine mint lamination peel error located on the lower portion of Lincoln's bust line. Under magnification, you can clearly see the distinct, jagged area where a thin layer of the copper alloy fractured and flaked away from the planchet surface due to an original minting alloy impurity. There is historic, overlapping post-mint pocket wear and minor scratching inside the cavity from its long time in circulation. **Coin Condition:**The coin grades out at a strong Very Fine (VF). The reverse side is exceptionally clean, showing completely stable, honest wear with crisp, highly defined wheat stalks and completely legible lettering along the rims. Please review the high-resolution photos carefully to judge the exact eye appeal, planchet flaws, and condition for yourself before purchasing.---
