A wonderfully quirky vintage Murano art glass clown figurine with a red chilli pepper-shaped body — a rare and whimsical form that stands out from the typical Murano clown. DETAILS:• Height: approx. 20cm• Body: vibrant red glass shaped as a chilli pepper with deep cobalt blue base• Green glass ruffle collar• Yellow glass face with blue dot eyes and red lips• Red conical hat• White opaque glass gloved hands• Black glass shoe base• Handmade in Murano, Italy• Excellent vintage condition — no chips, cracks or repairs ABOUT MURANO GLASS CLOWNS:Murano glass clowns were produced in their heyday from the 1950s through to the 1980s by skilled Venetian artisans using traditional hand-blowing techniques passed down through generations.
