Brand/Artist: Jim Weisgerber Origin: Appleton, Wisconsin Year: 1985 Subject: Mallard Drake Material: Hand-carved wood with textured "comb" painting Product Details: Up for your consideration is an authentic hand-carved Mallard Drake decoy by renowned Wisconsin carver Jim Weisgerber. This 1985 piece showcases the artist's signature style, featuring deep, intricate "combed" textures that simulate realistic feathers and a beautiful matte paint finish. The base is clearly marked: "HANDCRAFTED BY JIM WEISGERBER APPLETON, WI '85" and includes the hand-incised "JJW" initials. Condition: Overall excellent vintage display condition. Please Note: The delicate curly tail feather appears to have been broken and professionally reglued (see photos 7 & 8). The repair is stable and does not detract significantly from the overall look when displayed, but it is priced accordingly.
