Vintage John McClelland Mother Goose Series – Set of 4 with COAs This lot features a beautiful selection from the John McClelland Mother Goose series, produced by Reco International. This is a fantastic "starter set" for a collector, including both the first and second issues of the series. Included Plates: Plate 1 (First Issue): "Mary, Mary" (1979) – Plate #01422 Plate 2 (Second Issue): "Little Boy Blue" (1980) – Plate #0789 Plate 6: "Diddle Diddle Dumpling" (1984) – Plate #3774 Plate 7: "Mary Had a Little Lamb" (1985) – Plate #5203 Item Details: Artist: John McClelland Manufacturer: Reco International (Fine Porcelain) Included: Original Certificate of Authenticity (COA) and informational insert for each plate. Hardware: Includes vintage spring-tension wall hangers. Condition Report: These plates were recently sourced from an estate auction and are being sold in "as-found" condition. Porcelain: No chips or cracks detected. Cleanliness: Plates show some surface dust and "shelf soot" on the reverse side from long-term display; they will require a gentle cleaning upon arrival. Environment: Historical environment (smoke/pets) is unknown. Paperwork: The COAs and inserts show light "foxing" (age-related spotting) and minor creasing consistent with vintage paper.
