For your consideration is a beautiful, matched pair of vintage figurines, manufactured in Chicago, Illinois by the Universal Statuary Corp. This single-lot listing includes both the charming boy and girl figures from their popular 1970s line. Each figurine is heavily detailed to look like hand-carved wood, with a multi-step painted finish in rich, earthy colors including forest green, burnt orange, and cream. Each figure is positioned on a rocky outcrop next to a woven-style basket. Product Details: Manufacturer: Universal Statuary Corp. Date: 1975 Model Number: #823 Origin: Chicago, Illinois, USA Lot Size: Two (2) matching figurines Material: Heavy Resin / Chalkware Composite Dimensions: Height: Approximately 13" tall. Width: Approximately 6.5" wide at the widest point of the base. Condition: These figurines are in good to very good vintage condition, especially given their 1970s era. The colors are remarkably well-preserved and not significantly faded. The structure is solid. Key Detail: The black felt pads are intact on both bases, offering surface protection. Flea Bites: Please inspect all photos closely, specifically the edges of the rocky bases and the baskets. As is common with this material, there are a few minor surface "flea bites" (tiny paint chips or scuffs) from handling and age. These do not detract from the visual appeal and add to the vintage character. These are heavy pieces, and weight will be the main factor in shipping costs.
