Up for sale is a beautiful vintage 1978 Fenton Art Glass collector plate, the ninth entry in the highly collectible "Christmas in America" series. This plate features a stunning high-relief depiction of The Church of the Holy Trinity in Philadelphia, surrounded by a delicate border of holly leaves and berries. The glass has a magnificent iridescent carnival finish that shifts through shades of gold, blue, purple, and copper depending on the light (see photos for the vibrant color play). The back of the plate is embossed with the Fenton logo and a historical tribute to the carol "O Little Town of Bethlehem," written by Phillips Brooks, a former pastor of this church. Condition Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs. The iridescence is strong and consistent throughout the piece.
