Love, Jerry" BONUS HISTORICAL EPHEMERA: Laid into pages 372-373 is a vintage Associated Press (AP) newspaper clipping titled "Pilgrims trek to adobe church in Easter ritual," detailing the historic Chimayó pilgrimage in New Mexico, preserved inside by the family. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CONDITION DESCRIPTION: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - FRONT & BACK COVERS: Excellent, near-fine vintage condition. The intricate, leather-grained brown material is clean, flat, and structurally sound. - GOLD GILT: The elaborate gold lace borders and symbolic front panels remain exceptionally bright, shiny, and fully intact with no flaking or rubbing. - SPINE: Tight, rigid, and un-cocked. Gold lettering is crisp and bright. Headbands at the top and bottom show virtually no shelf wear. - TEXT BLOCK & PAGES: Page edges show light, beautiful, uniform age-toning. Interior pages are crisp, white, flat, and completely free of writing, highlighting, or torn corners. - NOTE ON EPHEMERA: The vintage newspaper clipping has caused a localized, natural acid-transfer tan shadow (ghosting) on pages 372 and 373 where it rested.
