Up for sale is a verified vintage Japanese Shikishi paper board painting by the accomplished Kyoto artist Sumiko Nakafuji (中藤澄子, born 1944). The piece beautifully captures a pink Camellia blossom (Tsubaki) with soft watercolor gradients and signature line-work, completed with the artist's signature calligraphy and red seal.The reverse side retains the original Japanese artist biography label detailing her professional career, including prestigious selections for the Kyoto Exhibition (Kyoten), the Nihon Nangan-in Exhibition, and her international exhibitions across France, Australia, and the United States (Seattle and Tacoma). The board features a thick composite backing and a clean, metallic gold paper foil rim wrapper.Specifications:Dimensions: Approx. 9.5" x 10.5"Medium: Watercolor & Ink on Washi Paper BoardCondition:Very good vintage condition.
