Up for sale is a vintage Wheaton Glass apothecary medical specimen jar standing approximately 11 inches tall. This clear glass cylinder bottle features its iconic, heavy-duty black cast-iron arched clamp top mechanism. Turning the metal thumb screw tightens down the clear glass lid against the red rubber gasket, creating an authentic vintage hermetic seal.Originally manufactured by Wheaton in Millville, NJ, these industrial-style jars were heavily utilized mid-century as laboratory reagent bottles, pharmacy storage, and medical specimen collectors.Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or deep scratches in the glass. The glass lid is clearly embossed with "WHEATON APOTHECARY" around the top rim. The cast-iron metal clamp mechanism w/ red rubber ring is intact.
