This unique piece of American folk history features an interior bookplate from a later owner dated 1985 on the top left corner, though the actual contents, clippings, paper stock, and lithographs inside the binder look to be authentic to the 1930s. The ledger-style lined pages are beautifully filled with carefully curated newspaper and magazine clippings from the era. Highlights include vibrant color lithograph illustrations of Western cowboys, majestic mountain landscapes (including a print of St. Mary Lake in Glacier National Park), colorful birds, and seasonal floral arrangements. Interspersed throughout the artwork are clipped period poems and inspirational passages themed around nature, family, mothers, and the American West.Condition: Good antique/vintage condition. The external black binder shows normal shelf wear, rubbing along the edges, and minor corner softening consistent with its nearly 100-year age. The interior lined pages have naturally yellowed over time, and a few ring reinforcement stickers are present. Some clippings show typical vintage tanning/acid migration, but everything remains firmly glued down and legible. A wonderful item for collectors of ephemera, folk art, or social history! Please see all photos for details.
