It is being sold strictly as a project piece or salvage item.Structure: This piece is a fragment. The original ornate architectural base plate and feet are completely missing. The napkin cylinder has been separated from its base, leaving visible factory solder scars and two mounting studs on the bottom.Finish & Patina: The original silver plating has worn away over the decades, exposing the dark grey base metal (white metal/pewter alloy). It features an unpolished, heavily aged patina with minor surface pitting, characteristic of authentic 19th-century salvage metal.The Figure: The molded cherub (putto) sitting atop the ring remains completely intact with excellent, crisp facial and anatomical detailing.
