It features an ornate Rococo-style border with stunning floral/scrollwork detailing on all four corners.This piece is designed to display three miniature family portraits side-by-side. The reverse features a sturdy metal panel backing that locks under alignment rivets, complete with a fully operational, integrated wire easel kickstand that holds the frame securely at a perfect viewing angle. The stand features an authentic period manufacturer's stamp reading "PATENT APD.", verifying its unique design.Condition Note:The frame is structurally sound, clean, and displays beautifully with a bright gold finish. In its history, the original glass panels were replaced with a single, clear plastic protective sheet over the oval windows, which allows for safe shipping without risk of breakage.Please note the following vintage wear: Three of the small bendable retaining tabs on the reverse panel have broken off over time due to age-related metal fatigue (the remaining rivets and panel tension still hold the backing securely in place). Additionally, the factory solder joints for the ornate corner decorations have loosened over time—three corners have very minor movement, and one corner piece is quite loose. They remain attached but could be easily reinforced with a drop of jewelry adhesive by the new owner if desired.
