Up for sale is a beautiful and unique mid-century miniature porcelain cabinet/bud vase manufactured in Germany.This collectible piece showcases a heavily textured "sugar glazed" (or sand-crusted) white finish that looks like a dusting of fine granulated sugar. The textured body is meticulously accented with hand-applied gold glitter starbursts throughout.A smooth, recessed oval medallion houses a charming pastoral vignette depicting a young country boy leaning against a rustic fence line while playing a pipe. While the foundational scene utilizes a fine transfer decal, this specific piece features hand-painted raised enamel accents—most notably visible as textured brushstrokes highlighting the purple mountains and green shrubbery.The underside of the base is clearly marked with the hand-painted red production mold number "6904" alongside a stamped red "GERMANY" hallmark.Condition DetailsExcellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or porcelain restorations.
