Vintage Dobbs Fifth Avenue New York fedora hat in black felt, size 7 1/8, offered with its original Dobbs hat box and original tissue paper.This classic mid-century fedora features a structured crown, bound brim, black grosgrain ribbon band, and decorative feather accent. The interior retains the original Dobbs Fifth Avenue New York satin liner, leather sweatband, and size tag.The sweatband is marked:Ray-Browning Clothiers Inc.Durham, N.C.making this an interesting piece of North Carolina retail history as well.The hat displays well and maintains a strong overall shape. The primary condition issue is age-related staining and discoloration to the interior satin liner.
