Vintage The Burroughs Company No. 49 A Steeple Gothic Wooden Clock - NOT WORKINGUp for sale is a wonderful piece of American horological history — a vintage Steeple Gothic miniature mantel/desk clock, manufactured by The Burroughs Company (Winsted, Connecticut).PLEASE NOTE: This clock is currently NOT WORKING and is being sold strictly AS-IS for parts, restoration, or decorative display.According to the beautifully preserved original paper label on the back, this specific model (No. 49 A) was inspired by a sharp Gothic design originally whittled from a block of wood by the famous clockmaker Elias Ingraham during a sailing voyage to Caracas in South America back in 1845.Key Features:Brand: The Burroughs Company (Winsted, Conn., USA)Model: No. 49 A - Steeple GothicMaterial: Wooden case with pointed steeple pillarsDial: Yellowed vintage look with Roman numerals and an alarm sub-dial indicator.
