Vintage teddy bear by SDF (Shanghai Dolls Factory), wearing original Midwest Importers sweater from Cannon Falls, Minnesota (1984). This is not a typical plush toy. It is a beautifully crafted vintage bear with a firm, structured body and a noticeable weight that immediately sets it apart from modern soft plush animals. The bear is tightly filled with dense material (similar to traditional wood wool / excelsior), giving it a solid, almost sculptural feel. It does not compress easily and holds its shape exceptionally well — a hallmark of older, higher-quality construction. There is a wonderful presence to this piece. The warm golden fur, textured knit sweater with classic argyle pattern, and tartan bow create a timeless, cozy aesthetic. It looks like a display piece you would find in a vintage shop or styled interior. Approximately 12 inches tall Weight: Heavier than typical plush toys (around 1 lb) Construction & Details: Firm, dense stuffing (not soft or squishy) Structured body that holds shape Original SDF (Shanghai Dolls Factory) tag attached Original Midwest Importers sweater (1984, Cannon Falls, MN) Classic vintage craftsmanship: Very good vintage condition. Light, age-appropriate wear including minor fuzzing and gentle wear to the sweater and fabric. No major flaws or damage. Clean and displays beautifully. Photos are part of the description — please review all images carefully for details and condition. Why this bear stands out: This is a display-quality vintage teddy bear — not just a toy, but a decorative collectible with weight, character, and old-world charm. Bears with this type of firm stuffing and construction are increasingly harder to find. Perfect for collectors, vintage decor, holiday styling, or as a unique nostalgic gift.0085
