Antique COSMO MFG CO straight razor marked “GERMANY.” A nice early German-made shaving collectible with a heavy traditional straight razor blade and cream/tan handle scales. The razor measures approximately 9 1/4 inches overall when fully opened, as shown in the photos. This piece is being offered in its original as-found condition. It has not been polished, restored, sharpened, or otherwise altered. The blade has considerable oxidation, dark patina, staining, surface rust and pitting consistent with age and long-term storage. The handle shows wear and discoloration and has a visible crack extending from the area of the pivot pin. Handle material has not been identified and is not guaranteed to be bone, ivory, or any other specific material. The razor opens and closes, but no attempt has been made to determine whether it is suitable for shaving. Sold primarily as an antique collectible, display piece, or restoration project.
