Up for sale is a stunning, authentic 1980s Christian Dior Flap Bag crafted from rare, smooth burgundy box calfskin. This structured, boxy silhouette features the highly coveted, massive gold-tone CD circle clasp on the front. The leather has been beautifully cleaned and conditioned using premium, luxury care products, bringing back its original rich satin luster and deep bordeaux glow. In real life, this bag presents beautifully with an incredible, high-end presence, and the minor vintage character marks seamlessly blend away during normal viewing and everyday wear. INTERIOR CONDITION: The interior of this bag is in very good condition. Unlike many vintage Dior bags from this era that suffer from peeling, flaking, or dry rot, this lining is completely solid, smooth, and clean. It is fully ready to safely hold your phone, wallet, and essentials with zero debris or wear. CONDITION DETAILS (PLEASE READ): This beautiful vintage piece is being offered at an accessible discount due to its strap condition. The leather shoulder strap has experienced structural splitting/cracking near the metal hardware links on both sides (please see macro close-up photos). It has been carefully secured and stabilized, and is functional, but should still be handled with care. There is also minor wear and light cracking along the very top folded edges of the flap, which is normal for an archival piece of this age and does not detract from regular viewing or use. The gold hardware shows light, natural fading and surface micro-wear consistent with authentic vintage age, but it still retains a gorgeous, bright, mirror-like reflection.
