I have included close-up photos of some small spots on the black paint of the sleeves and hands where I am pointing. While these look similar to a repair, the surface is very smooth to the touch and the spots are very difficult to notice unless you are looking for them. While I do not think its a repair I cannot be 100 perecent sure. They may simply be original factory paint skips from the hand-painting process,Its solid and displays perfectly for a vintage piece not a mint piece expected age-related wear to the "cold painted" black accents on the shoes and mask, typical for Japanese ceramics of this era.
