This vintage decorative desktop world globe features a classic Italian replica map design. It depicts old-world cartography details including illustration work of classic ships, sea monsters, and Latin text designations such as "Zona Torrida" and "Mar Del Nord." The globe rotates within a faux-wood style structural meridian ring and is mounted securely on a solid, polished turned-wood base. The bottom features a green protective felt lining with an original gold foil "Made in Hong Kong" manufacturer sticker. Condition There is a small area of surface wear/paper loss on the globe map near the Caribbean area (above South America). Otherwise clean overall condition with minimal surface wear from display. No major scuffs, cracks, or deep scratches to the globe surface or map imagery. The wooden base and meridian ring are structurally sound and stable.
