Vintage Gilfillan Model 66B “The Overland” portable AM tube radio manufactured by Gilfillan Bros. Inc. of Los Angeles, California.The identification plate lists 117V AC/DC operation, 22-watt power consumption, and battery operation. The radio retains its wooden cabinet, brown textured covering, internal chassis, speaker, installed tubes, and attached power cord.The radio does not work. The cause of the failure has not been diagnosed, and no individual components or tubes have been tested. It is being sold as a restoration project, for repair, or for parts.The cabinet shows substantial age-related wear, including scuffs, stains, worn and peeling covering at the corners, small holes and tape residue on the top, and general cosmetic deterioration. The internal wiring shows evidence of previous repair or modification, including wire-nut connections.Only the radio and its attached components shown in the photographs are included. No battery, manual, service literature, or additional accessories are included.Please review all photographs carefully for cabinet condition, internal condition, completeness, and the exact item you will receive.Additional related vintage electronics may be available separately in our store.
