Okay, this one is a masterpiece Every once in a while I find a ring where I genuinely don’t know what I love more — the stone or the silverwork. This SARDA sterling silver statement ring is one of those pieces.The center is a large faceted ammolite that absolutely comes alive in the light. Depending on the angle, you get flashes of fiery red and orange, electric green, gold and hints of violet. And because the stone is faceted rather than a traditional smooth cabochon, every little movement catches a different section of color.Then you turn the ring over… and somehow it gets even better.The sterling silver setting is incredibly detailed from every direction, with layers of ropework, texturing and oxidized detailing continuing all the way around the shoulders. Even the underside of the ring has beautiful pierced floral scrollwork. That hidden detail is probably my favorite part — nobody needed to make the back this beautiful, but they did.That’s what makes a great statement ring feel special to me. It’s not just a gorgeous stone sitting on a band.
