Vintage The Astatic Corp. D-104 “lollipop” style microphone with an original Astatic G Stand, manufactured in Conneaut, Ohio, USA.The microphone retains its original Astatic identification plate reading:THE ASTATIC CORP. CONNEAUT, OHIO MADE IN U.S.A. MOD. NO. D-104The base is separately labeled:THE ASTATIC CORP. CONNEAUT, OHIO MADE IN U.S.A. G STANDA classic piece of vintage American communications/radio equipment with the distinctive round D-104 microphone head and heavy desktop base.The attached coiled cable and multi-pin connector are included exactly as pictured. Also included is the removable red knitted microphone cover shown in the photos.TESTING / FUNCTIONAL CONDITIONTHIS MICROPHONE HAS NOT BEEN TESTED.I do not have the appropriate compatible equipment to properly test it.No testing has been performed on the microphone element, wiring, cable, connector, switch/mechanical components or any internal electrical components.Because of its age and unknown operating condition, it is being sold FOR PARTS OR NOT WORKING / AS-IS.It may work, may work partially, or may require repair, rewiring, cleaning, adjustment, replacement components or complete restoration. No representation or guarantee is made regarding functionality.Buyer is responsible for determining compatibility with their equipment.COSMETIC CONDITIONThis is a genuinely vintage piece and shows considerable age-related wear.Visible wear includes oxidation/patina and discoloration on the heavy base; scratches, spotting and finish wear on the chrome-plated portions; tarnish and oxidation around the stand; and general marks from previous use.There is also visible adhesive/residue and finish loss around part of the outer microphone-head housing, clearly shown in the close-up photographs. I would specifically disclose this because buyers of D-104s inspect the chrome closely.The microphone grille appears intact from visual inspection, but no claim is made regarding the condition of the internal microphone element.The bottom felt covering remains present but shows age, edge wear and marks.The cable and connector show age/use wear. They have not been electrically tested.Red knitted cover shows normal age/use wear and is included as an extra accessory.Please enlarge and carefully review all photographs.
