Size and condition above come from the listing. The description below is the seller’s own text.
Pair of framed reproduction prints featuring two different historical elephant scenes. You will receive both framed prints shown. • One sepia-toned print bears the caption “Execution of ‘Murderous Mary’” and references Sparks Bros., Erwin, Tennessee, and September 13, 1916. The date is part of the reproduced image and does not establish when this print was made. This image depicts an elephant hanging by a chain. • The second black-and-white print shows an elephant suspended in a lifting harness beside a ship, with people standing below. Its location, date, photographer, and the elephant’s identity are unknown. It is not identified as another image of Mary or her execution. Both prints have plain backs, with no identifying information visible in the supplied photos. The printing process, publisher, and production dates are unknown. The black frames have hanging hardware and fold-out easel stands. One frame bears a manufacturer label with a production date of 12/05/2020; this label dates the frame, not the enclosed print. Approximate outside frame dimensions: 8½ × 6½ inches each. Please refer to the measurement photos. Sold together as one lot. Only the two framed prints pictured are included.1902
