Size and condition above come from the listing. The description below is the seller’s own text.
Matched pair of ornate engraved brass urn vases featuring dense floral, foliate and figural decoration throughout. Each vase has two cast horned-animal handles resembling antelope or ibex and stands on a decorative pedestal base. The design is consistent with traditional Benares-style Indian metalware, although no maker, country-of-origin mark or date is visible in the provided photos. Approximate height is 12 inches based on the ruler shown in the photos. Both pieces show age-related patina, tarnish, oxidation, surface wear and minor irregularities consistent with previous display and use. There is additional discoloration and residue around the interior of the openings and undersides. One pedestal base is shown removed in the photos for inspection; it attaches to the vase by a threaded center stud and is shown assembled in the other photographs. No lids are included. Decorative use only; water-tightness has not been tested. Sale includes the two vases shown in the photographs. Please review all photos carefully for design, finish and cosmetic condition.
