Commemorative St. Ansgar, Iowa 100th Anniversary Fire Department Plate This is a beautiful and highly collectible limited-edition plate commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the St. Ansgar Fire Department (1903–2003). This piece is a must-have for residents of Mitchell County, Iowa, fire department memorabilia collectors, or vintage plate enthusiasts. The front features a vibrant illustration of the department's first motorized fire truck, a custom-built 1928 model from the W.S. Knot Company. The back provides a detailed history of the department, from its origins as the Eagle Hose Company to its evolution into the St. Ansgar Volunteer Fire Department. Product Features: Limited Edition: Hand-numbered #13 of only 250 produced. Design: Features a classic red 1928 motorized fire engine. Historical Text: The reverse side includes a comprehensive history of the department's charter and service area. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or crazing. The gold-tone rim is intact and bright. Dimensions: Approximately 10" in diameter (standard dinner plate size). Historical Significance: "The Eagle Hose Company was organized February 23, 1903 with fifteen charter members... On March 31, 1936, the Eagle Hose Company became known as the St. Ansgar Volunteer Fire Department."
