Coining their own distinct subgenre as “trash-pop,” the band blends high-energy '60s garage scuzz, reverb-drenched surf-punk hooks, psychedelic fuzz, and crashing rhythm.Recorded in collaboration with Scott Montoya (longtime bassist and sound engineer for The Growlers) in The Growlers' studio, Sea Things captures the raw, kinetic live energy of the Orange County / Burger Records-era underground.Before being picked up for a wider vinyl run via Dead Beat and Resurrection Records, TRMRS initially issued this self-released, DIY run of only 300 CD-R copies—with each individual sleeve uniquely hand-painted by the band members themselves.
