Genius and the Thieves was a five-piece Northern California indie rock outfit active between 2009 and 2012, blending celebratory, rowdy rock and roll with a gritty blues edge and punk sensibility across the Stockton, Sacramento, and Bay Area circuits. Self-released in 2010, their 5-track debut EP, In Technicolor, was tracked, mixed, and mastered at Emeryville's Ex'pression College for Digital Arts by Benjamin Roider and Jerad Fox, capturing the band's dynamic club sound on cuts like "Quart of Blood Technique" and "Smoke Signals."
