Antique original sepia portrait photograph of a young gentleman identified by the handwritten inscription as “Frank Bert Mitchell.” The identity has not been independently verified, making this an excellent piece for genealogy research or collectors of early American portrait photography. The photograph is presented in its original ornate gold-tone metal frame with decorative embossed detailing and an easel back for tabletop display. The frame retains its original glass, backing, and stand. The sepia portrait features excellent period styling and is beautifully complemented by the original embossed decorative mat. Condition is consistent with age. The decorative mat shows foxing, age spots, discoloration, and staining from long-term storage. The frame has light wear and minor finish loss consistent with normal antique use. Glass is intact. Easel stand is secure and functions properly.
