Vintage James Yates English pewter salt and pepper shaker set. A handsome matching pair with classic baluster-shaped bodies, stepped bases and screw-top lids. Both pieces are marked on the underside: James Yates MADE IN ENGLAND The pair has developed an attractive dark aged pewter patina and displays considerable character from previous use. One shaker has multiple dispensing holes in the top. The companion shaker has a single opening. The screw top on one shaker can be removed normally. The top on the other shaker is currently stuck and could not be removed by hand. No tools or excessive force were used to attempt removal. Nice collectible English tableware set for a pewter collection, vintage kitchen display, traditional dining decor, or British metalware collection.
