Vintage black-and-white Hollywood publicity/press photograph featuring Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer actress Laraine Day wearing an American Red Cross uniform and standing beside a Red Cross vehicle.The vehicle is prominently marked:AMERICAN RED CROSS LOS ANGELES CHAPTERThis is an especially attractive WWII-era image combining Golden Age Hollywood, American Red Cross and Los Angeles history.The reverse retains a period typed publicity caption identifying Laraine Day as a Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer actress and describing the Red Cross uniform shown in the photograph.The caption reads:“LARAINE DAY… Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer actress, poses in the different uniforms of Red Cross workers.
