Theoretical Structural Metallurgy by A. H. Cottrell, B.Sc., Ph.D. Edward Arnold & Co., London 1953 Reprint Vintage hardcover technical reference on theoretical and structural metallurgy by A. H. Cottrell. Originally published in 1948, this copy is the 1953 reprint, as stated on the copyright page. Made and printed in Great Britain. The book covers subjects related to the physical and theoretical foundations of metallurgy, metals and alloys, atomic structure, thermodynamics, crystal structure, diffusion, mechanical properties, and related metallurgical concepts. Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition. The black hardcover remains in good overall condition with attractive gilt lettering on the spine. Pages show expected age toning. There are previous-owner handwritten names/address and other notations on the front endpapers. The original dust jacket is included, but it has substantial age and storage wear, including tears, chips, creases, edge loss, and missing portions, particularly around the upper edges and spine area. The dust jacket has been retained in its present condition and has not been repaired or restored. Please review all photos carefully for the exact condition, markings, wear, and dust-jacket damage. Photos are considered part of the description. A nice vintage reference for collectors of older engineering, metallurgy, materials science, and technical books. Sold as pictured.1523
