Closo store credit: how it works

Store credit is Closo money in your buyer account. It is applied at checkout by itself, and if an order is cancelled, the credit you used comes back.

Updated 8 Oct 2026.

Store credit is Closo money that sits in your buyer account, ready for your next lot. Your account overview shows the balance and when it expires.

Using it at checkout

There is nothing to enter. When you check out a lot, your credit is applied automatically and pays part of the order; your card pays the rest. Checkout shows the split before you pay.

Store credit works on lots bought at a fixed price. It is not used on auction lots.

If an order is cancelled

If an order is cancelled, or its card payment is refunded in full, the store credit you used comes back to your account. It keeps its original expiry date, and if that date has already passed, it starts a fresh one. A partial refund goes back to your card.

Store credit instead of a refund

When an order has to be cancelled, our team may offer you store credit instead of a card refund. The credit is worth more than the refund and can pay for a whole order. The choice is yours: take the store credit, or get the refund to your card. Choose from the email or from your order page.

Can I cash out store credit?

No. Store credit cannot be cashed out. It is spent on lots at checkout.

What happens when it expires?

Credit left after its expiry date is gone, so plan your next lot before then. Your account overview shows the nearest expiry date.

Terms apply

Store credit pays up to 30% of an order and expires 90 days after it is issued, unless your account shows a different share or date.

Store credit taken instead of a refund adds 10% to the refund amount, pays up to 100% of an order and lasts 180 days. The offer stays open for 7 days.
