Buying on Closo
How lots, manifests, prices and auctions work.
- How buying wholesale lots on Closo worksManifested lots from liquidation suppliers, paid by card into escrow and released to the supplier only after you accept the delivery.
- Manifests: what a lot lists and how exact it isEvery liquidation lot is listed with a line-by-line manifest. It is what you check the delivery against and what a claim is measured on.
- How many units to expect: normal variance in a lotLots are counted in bulk. How much variance is normal, and when a short or misgraded count becomes a claim.
- Order minimums set by suppliersSome suppliers set a minimum order for their lots. Where one is set, checkout applies the minimum that supplier has set.
- Lot prices, resale estimates and what they promiseThe lot price is one all-in number before shipping. Resale figures come from recent sold comps and are estimates, not a promise.
- Buying a lot at auctionWatching an auction is free and needs no account. Bidding needs a free account and a card on file, and you are charged only if you win.
Questions buyers ask
Short answers. Each article above has the full detail.
Can I look at lots without an account?
Yes. Prices and shipping quotes are shown once you sign in, and a buyer account is free and needs no card.
Is the resale data a promise of what I will earn?
No. Resale estimates come from recent sold comps and are not a promise of what your items will sell for.
